MSD Knitwear

I have spent nearly all this week making up and sewing on poppers and buttons, getting ready for a doll meet at the weekend.

MSD knitwear

Finished knits 2

This pattern always surprises me, it looks so small when being knitted and then after it's sewn up it looks smaller still, I never think it will fit a msd size doll but it does!

Another starfish

I started knitting this in 2011! And then I got into a hate relationship with Kid Silk Haze and so left this.
We're all sorted now and I finished it easily!!! It's too short for Meridian but I think the hood looks cute on her.

Finally finished this top

I really enjoy knitting these roll-neck sweaters (Dollswest pattern).

WIP update.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. I need to do some backdates too.

Anyway, here I am at the moment. A lot of WIPS to finish, knitting and sewing up. The orangey fairisle cardi in the left top corner is for Kumi.

WIP mess!

My usual routine went to pot end of last year and continued in January.
Well, I must get back, the hibernation, as lovely as it was, is over.

I received this wool today in trade for some knitwear. The kidsilk haze colours are lovely!

Amethyst again!

I do like this colour on Sabrina.

Amethyst

I made another cardigan after finishing the red one. Also in KF KidSilk - colour shade called Garnet but I think it looks more like Amethyst. And Amethyst is my birthstone. And today is my birthday!

Red

Some more pictures of the red cardigan, I'm very pleased with it. It's the same pattern as the Old Gold one but this time I made it longer. The colour is called Pillar Box. I like red knitwear a lot.

Two Zeros

Here are my two Zero girls. Cicely is wearing the Musedoll sweater and I think she looks great in it. Lorelei is wearing a cardigan I knitted in Rowan Kaffe Fassett KidSilk. I finished this cardi at the end of last year.

White and fluffy!

No, not a kitten!

I've just finished knitting the ribbed cardigan with long sleeves in Kid Silk Haze, #603 Pearl. It looks so different in this soft and fluffy yarn. Very feminine. Worth the stuggle, because I do find knitting with this yarn a struggle. I don't know why, I just don't get on with it very well.

Pattern is an adapted Dollswest one - see here and here

Fluffy.

I made another sweater from the Dollswest free pattern, this time in Rowan Kid Silk Haze, colour Liqueur. Both Lorelei and Lichen tried it on. I think I prefer the fit on Lichen. (top left)

New wool

My yarn diet is well and truly broken now as I have just bought 4 more balls of Noro Sekku from ebay. Shades 2, 6, 8 and 4 again as a friend wants a jumper.

Noro Love

I also bought 3 balls of Rowan Kidsilk Haze from another friend. Funny, this wool was originally mine and I sold her a whole pile of it many years ago.

Kidsilk Haze

All this is going to make some great dolly knits.
