That old mohair

I came across this old mohair jumper that I'd made years ago! I had actually taken the sleeves out at one point to use as arm warmers! It's supposed to fit a Tyler doll but I made it too big and as you can see here it fits my Zero!
I put the sleeves back in and like the three-quarter length.

A bonus pic of Lorelei!

Though I say so myself I am rather proud of this cardigan!
Handknitted from Scotty Maloney yarn and pattern.

Two fair-isles

The brown one is from a Scotty Maloney kit that I bought years ago. It's sized for an 18" vinyl doll like Kitty Collier.

The black and red one is a heavily adapted Dollswest pattern.

Lime

Lime

I did make Smilla another hoody, slightly adapting a Scotty Maloney pattern and using SM yarn. I like this colour on her.

I made one for a friend at the end of 2011 for her Dollmore doll, but the sleeves were too long.
Here is Smilla modelling it.

Snapshot!

Taken late at night - I was playing with my camera settings for a change and I like the weird colours and light in this.

Balalaika is wearing the SM basic green cardigan with an Ajumapama skirt. I think she looks so cute.

Leo is wearing the red cardigan that I made for Dimity a few years ago.

What on earth.....

What on earth was I thinking! Knitted trousers!!!???? I knitted these years ago now - from a Scotty Maloney Kit, and meant for a Tyler or Gene doll.
There is a jumper to match but I have only done the back.
Do I finish or not?

WIP update.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. I need to do some backdates too.

Anyway, here I am at the moment. A lot of WIPS to finish, knitting and sewing up. The orangey fairisle cardi in the left top corner is for Kumi.

WIP mess!

My usual routine went to pot end of last year and continued in January.
Well, I must get back, the hibernation, as lovely as it was, is over.

Wrapped up warm

Penny at the beach

Penny wearing the Scotty Maloney cardigan and I think it suits her well.

Unfinished......

Poncho!!

Why?

Because I thought it was a good idea way back then! When Tyler and Gene and Alex had cowboy outfits and horses and lived on the ranch. They would need a poncho to keep warm at night. Plus it was intarsia and had lots of colours and looked fun to make.

I knitted it up really quickly and then left it. All those ends to sew in defeated me plus fringing to make as well!!!!

I wonder if Elkie will like it. Keep her warm at night in the canoe!

Hoody for Smilla

I've made a sixth-scale hoody from a Scotty Maloney kit. I think if I make it again I will use the next needle size down.

Still, I think Smilla looks quite good in it.

WIP: 6 projects

WIP: 6 projects, originally uploaded by pacific_rin.

Current doll knitting - I like to have several things on the go - some daytime knitting, some telly knitting.....

1) a cable cardigan in Rowanspun Holly - half body done
2) a cable cardigan in Rowanspun Swarm - one sleeve completed
3) just started a new design in J&S Shetland lace-weight
4) a hooded sweatshirt from a Scotty Maloney kit - 1/6th scale
5) a chunky jumper, SD sized - just the neck band to do
6) a hooded dress in Noro Sekku - but I am a bit stuck on this at the moment, have unravelled it back to the armhole.

I'm also posting this picture in memory of my dear Mum, who passed away two years ago. I think of her every day, more so as I knit. She was a prolific knitter, hardly ever without her needles and wool. She taught me to knit but was in despair as I just couldn't get the hang of holding the needles her way, the proper way. *laugh* I miss you Mum.

Must. Knit. These.

More Scotty Maloney kits, bought years ago for 18" Kitty Collier doll. It would be good to finally make them. Maybe I can adapt them.

Snowflake

I was making a pink version of this - nearly finished it as well and then I left it. I'd like to try and finish some of these Scotty M kits this year. Much more fun if they were being worn!

Nostalgia

This cardigan was one of the first pieces of doll knitting I'd completed for fashion dolls. I bought 3 Scotty Maloney kits, back in 2002 and made a hooded sweatshirt, a Nordic snowflake cardigan and this fair isle yoke cardi.
The sleeves are a tad short for a BJD size doll. Maybe it's time to try this again?

Nearly finished!

Nearly finished!, originally uploaded by pacific_rin.

Just the sewing up to do. Huh, just!!

This jumper has taken me 4 months to knit. Size 00000 needles and very thin elastic yarn. I had to look at every stitch. There is a skirt in this kit using 4/0 but I don't know if I will do it - the yarn is black!

I just hope this will fit one of my dolls now.

P&P

Polly is trying on the pale blue and white striped jumper. This is like the navy & white one (pattern by Dollswest). I really like this pattern and want to do more.

Phoebe is wearing the Scotty Maloney green cardigan. The sleeves are a little short for her but I think she looks cute in it.

Finished!

Max is wearing a basic cardigan from a Scotty Maloney knitting kit, that I had finished all the knitting for years ago. But never made it up. Finally, here it is.

I wonder if the sleeves were supposed to be three-quarter length???
