Challenge sweater - FINISHED!

I am so excited and happy that I have finished the Challenge sweater. It took a very long time - the bobble rows on the main piece seemed to take forever! And knitting 3 tog and ptbl - all need concentration.
I am glad that I did the main piece first as I found the sleeves very easy going as I was used to the lace pattern by then.
I loved the yarn - Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace - a silk and wool blend.

Well, here it is on Sabrina, it was always going to be for her.

It's pinned at the back at the moment but it fits Sabrina!!

Now just two sleeves to do. But I am used to the lace pattern now so they shouldn't be too hard. I'm very glad I knitted the body first.

WIP: Challenge sweater - week 14

A quarter of the year gone! I have reached the armholes and completed the right back. It looks very narrow to fit an SD size doll but it is very stretchy.

Tumbleweed............

I haven't knitted a stitch on this for 2 weeks now!
I really must make the effort to get back into it next week.

WIP: challenge sweater week 4

No change this week, I haven't been able to concentrate.

WIP: Challenge sweater - week 4

But I did feel like doing plain knitting so I made 6 sixth scale/Blythe size sweaters, using left over sock yarn!! :)
Polly is wearing one and the sixth is still on the needles.

WIP: Challenge sweater week 1

This is going to be a very long time knitting. I started this yesterday and so far have only done the 4 rows garter stitch then the first 4 rows of the pattern on the body and it has taken me hours! Using 4/0 needles and a fine silk/wool in Cherry Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace.
Lots of bobbles and travelling cable stitches.

I will try and photograph this once a week to encourage me to keep going.

Dollswest Challenge Sweater

This has just gone up on the Dollswest site. The challenge is to knit it within a year from buying the pattern. Lots of bobbles and lace and on fine needles too. I will give this a go.

Rainbow Drops!

The final dress in my challenge. This one was knitted from the bottom up so that the "drops" formed the heart shapes, plus I needed to work out the positioning and it was easier to work from the bottom to the top.
I based this on an old knitwear design of mine when it was my living.

I am very proud of these little knitted dresses.

Oh dear, Twinkle took a tumble not long after the last photo shoot. She is fine, nothing damaged.

Hippy Chick!

I had a blue and orange smock dress in the mid 70's and still like this colour combination.

I'm really enjoying knitting these little dresses and having fun choosing colour combinations.

Cappucino time - dress #5

Stripes! This was fun to do and a homage to Sindy's Coffee Party dress. I love brown knits!

Three Pinks

Which pink to knit for dress #4? Why, choose all three! I added the lacey trim to match the trim on her socks.

Golden Yellow

Dress #3 is in a lovely Golden Yellow and I added a daisy trim.

This will be Twinkle's Easter dress. I'd like to have another one in a pale primrose and maybe lilac too.

Turquoise

I made this dress a tad longer. I love this shade and think it goes so well with pink.

A self imposed challenge.

A new dolly came in and I wanted to knit her a welcome dress. I made the pattern up as I went along, knitting top down so I could try it on her easily. I used Jamieson & Smith Lace Weight Shetland wool in a lovely clover pink.

I have decided to make her 7 dresses in 7 days!
