MSD Knitwear

I have spent nearly all this week making up and sewing on poppers and buttons, getting ready for a doll meet at the weekend.





This pattern always surprises me, it looks so small when being knitted and then after it's sewn up it looks smaller still, I never think it will fit a msd size doll but it does!



I started knitting this in 2011! And then I got into a hate relationship with Kid Silk Haze and so left this.
We're all sorted now and I finished it easily!!! It's too short for Meridian but I think the hood looks cute on her.



I really enjoy knitting these roll-neck sweaters (Dollswest pattern).

Current WIPs

I am making two lacey cardigans from the brown mix - one is Blythe sized and one msd.
The eau de nil one will be a crop cable cardigan for SD.
The black fairisle is an order - msd size.
The mauve mix is a Blythe dress - prototype and a possible sale.
The pale grey hoody (msd size), I started in July 2011 !!!!

Tee-shirts

Hard to believe that these two are from the same ball of Noro Sekku (shade #3) !!
That's the beauty of this yarn.

A new shape for me, msd sized sweater with plain sleeves in as near a match as possible.

It's a starfish!

No, it's a cardigan and it looks a weird shape. I knitted it as the pattern - the back is 3 cables across and the fronts have 2 cables plus the bands so the back is quite a lot narrower. ????

It's Dollswest pattern #176 for slim msd dolls.

Well, I'll make it up but I don't know what it's going to look like!

Edit: A friend suggested it might be for the bigger busted msds.

WIP update.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. I need to do some backdates too.

Anyway, here I am at the moment. A lot of WIPS to finish, knitting and sewing up. The orangey fairisle cardi in the left top corner is for Kumi.




My usual routine went to pot end of last year and continued in January.
Well, I must get back, the hibernation, as lovely as it was, is over.

Gone wrong!

I wasn't happy with the shape of the body on this hoody so I've ripped it back to around the waistline and will have another go. I'm also going to do the pockets bigger.

This jacket started off for a Teenie Gem but as they are all gone now, Karrosel will wear it instead.

Finished!

Some orders finally finished and can be shown now as they have all been sent and received. These pictures are quick snaps just for my records.

Three lacey cardigans, adapted Dollswest pattern and knitted in J&S lace-weight Shetland.

Next up is my own pattern - I was asked to make a waistcoat. As it fits Rafe's chest as is, it will be the right size to wear over a shirt as the recepient is slighty narrower.




And finally a cosy sweater - again, my own pattern - knitted in a silk/wool mix.

Starting the year with three lacey cardigans to sew up.

Another glitter knit.

In between order knitting, I've made Fanny another glittery sweater. This one is longer and I added eyelet holes for ribbon at the neck.
I think it suits her!

I made this glitter jumper for Fanny a few weeks ago now. I used J&S black laceweight Shetland and a black&green glitter yarn that was my mum's.

Snow Blue & Ice Green

I love knitting this pattern. I've made two more cardigans in SD size and here is Sabrina modelling them.

The first one is in Snow Blue lace-weight Shetland.
