Two Dollswest knits for Unoa

Trance is wearing "Durango" sweater and Jemini is wearing the "starfish" cardi - both patterns by Dollswest.

Trance and Jemini

Durano is knitted with the softest Malabrigo laceweight in Bobby Blue. Though the pattern is very effective I didn't enjoy knitting it and struggled with the changing knit and purl texture.

The cable cardigan that I call "starfish" is in Regia Hand Dye Effect sock yarn and Jamieson and Smith Shetland laceweight.

MSD Knitwear

I have spent nearly all this week making up and sewing on poppers and buttons, getting ready for a doll meet at the weekend.

MSD knitwear

Finished knits 2

This pattern always surprises me, it looks so small when being knitted and then after it's sewn up it looks smaller still, I never think it will fit a msd size doll but it does!

Another starfish

I started knitting this in 2011! And then I got into a hate relationship with Kid Silk Haze and so left this.
We're all sorted now and I finished it easily!!! It's too short for Meridian but I think the hood looks cute on her.

Finally finished this top

I really enjoy knitting these roll-neck sweaters (Dollswest pattern).

Favourite colours!

Yummy green and pink

Two fair-isles

The brown one is from a Scotty Maloney kit that I bought years ago. It's sized for an 18" vinyl doll like Kitty Collier.

The black and red one is a heavily adapted Dollswest pattern.

Weekend knitting

Weekend knitting

Finished one sleeve of the SD guy sweater.
A Blythe cardi using up the last of a favourite sock yarn. (keeping this).
Finished the roll neck sweater (msd size) for upcoming Valentines maybe?
Another basic top down raglan, also msd size. (knitted most of this while watching Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol).

Stripes and cables

Jemini and Trance

These two jumpers are my most favourite doll jumpers that I've ever knitted. (DWD pattern). I was inspired by a Patricia Roberts sweater that combined stripes and cables and so adapted the pattern.

Finished!

One from the pile completed.

I knitted this simple top-down raglan over two evenings using Fortissima Mexico sock yarn on size 2mm needles.

Finished.

My progress yesterday!

My progress yesterday..

So, because I really wanted to read "The 39 Steps", (which is brilliant, by the way!), I started three new projects as I wanted to do plain knitting while reading.

Dark green is for Super Gem/Dollshe size.
Lime green is SD size.
Pink is MSD size.

WIP

wip: dolly knits

Okay, I haven't done very much since my last wip photo. This is still knitting to finish, sewing up to do, buttons and poppers to put on.
And this doesn't include half finished S.M. kits either!
I see there are still cardigans and a dress made early last year that still need sewing up and/or buttoning.

I did make Smilla another hoody, slightly adapting a Scotty Maloney pattern and using SM yarn. I like this colour on her.

I made one for a friend at the end of 2011 for her Dollmore doll, but the sleeves were too long.
Here is Smilla modelling it.

Snapshot!

Taken late at night - I was playing with my camera settings for a change and I like the weird colours and light in this.

Balalaika is wearing the SM basic green cardigan with an Ajumapama skirt. I think she looks so cute.

Leo is wearing the red cardigan that I made for Dimity a few years ago.
Shorts by Sally.

Trance wearing the the starfish wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

First picture 2013 - Trance

I do like this cardigan! It also suits Balalaika.

Orangey goodness

I made another one last summer for Jo.

And here it is on her doll. Thank you Jo!
