WIP: fairisles x 3

Started knitting with my new Knit Picks Palette and I am loving it!
I am making two cardigans from Becky Colvin's "Verstile and Variegated" pattern (the blue and the almond) and the cranberry one is Dollswest pattern again.

Another favourite

I love this mustard cardigan, even though I say so myself! I like the colour and style and yarn and buttons!

I've made another one! I really enjoy doing this pattern and love working fair-isle again.

WIP: Fairisle progress

Adding in sleeves, this is so exciting!

wip: fair-isle

wip: fairisle

To get back into dolly knitting I started a fairisle yesterday. It is sized for a Marnie doll, (whatever size that is!). It's been very relaxing to do, I enjoy fairisle knitting very much.
This is the body (all in one back and fronts) and Brenda is helping to hold it down while I take the photo!

Two Dollswest knits for Unoa

Trance is wearing "Durango" sweater and Jemini is wearing the "starfish" cardi - both patterns by Dollswest.

Trance and Jemini

Durano is knitted with the softest Malabrigo laceweight in Bobby Blue. Though the pattern is very effective I didn't enjoy knitting it and struggled with the changing knit and purl texture.

The cable cardigan that I call "starfish" is in Regia Hand Dye Effect sock yarn and Jamieson and Smith Shetland laceweight.

MSD Knitwear

I have spent nearly all this week making up and sewing on poppers and buttons, getting ready for a doll meet at the weekend.

MSD knitwear

Finished knits 2

This pattern always surprises me, it looks so small when being knitted and then after it's sewn up it looks smaller still, I never think it will fit a msd size doll but it does!

Another starfish

I started knitting this in 2011! And then I got into a hate relationship with Kid Silk Haze and so left this.
We're all sorted now and I finished it easily!!! It's too short for Meridian but I think the hood looks cute on her.

Finally finished this top

I really enjoy knitting these roll-neck sweaters (Dollswest pattern).

Weekend knitting

Weekend knitting

Finished one sleeve of the SD guy sweater.
A Blythe cardi using up the last of a favourite sock yarn. (keeping this).
Finished the roll neck sweater (msd size) for upcoming Valentines maybe?
Another basic top down raglan, also msd size. (knitted most of this while watching Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol).

Stripes and cables

Jemini and Trance

These two jumpers are my most favourite doll jumpers that I've ever knitted. (DWD pattern). I was inspired by a Patricia Roberts sweater that combined stripes and cables and so adapted the pattern.

Happy New Year!

Trance wearing the the starfish wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

I do like this cardigan! It also suits Balalaika.

Orangey goodness

I made another one last summer for Jo.

And here it is on her doll. Thank you Jo!

The starfish made up!

I forgot to show this cardigan that got known as the starfish
I made it up a while ago and it does work out, of course!

It's a starfish!

It's a starfish!! No, it's a cardigan and it looks a weird shape. I knitted it as the pattern - the back is 3 cables across and the fronts have 2 cables plus the bands so the back is quite a lot narrower. ????

It's Dollswest pattern #176 for slim msd dolls.

Well, I'll make it up but I don't know what it's going to look like!

Edit: A friend suggested it might be for the bigger busted msds.

Smocked cable coat

I fancy making this but don't know which size doll it will fit.
The pattern is by Dollswest and was inspired by a jacket in Vogue Knitting Fall 2010.

I'm wondering if I knit it on needles one size larger than recommended then it might fit msd. Also thinking about making it flare out from the waist more.

WIP update.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. I need to do some backdates too.

Anyway, here I am at the moment. A lot of WIPS to finish, knitting and sewing up. The orangey fairisle cardi in the left top corner is for Kumi.

WIP mess!

My usual routine went to pot end of last year and continued in January.
Well, I must get back, the hibernation, as lovely as it was, is over.
