New arrival
I made a scarf from the leftover bits of LL Shepherd Sock in Baltic Sea plus some KSH.
And this little one arrived today from Planet Flynn. And I am completely enchanted by her. I dressed her in Smilla's long jumper and it's like a dress!

She is so cute.

Rib knit
Polly is wearing a lovely rib knit pullover made by Gill. This was originally for a Tyler doll but the stretchy rib fits well over a Narae's hands. I think Polly looks fab in it.
I do have the pattern somewhere, I think it uses 4/0 needles and very fine yarn but it would be so worth doing, such a classic design.

These lovely socks were a present from my friend Jane and they were knitted by her Mum. Though I do knit socks it's a real treat to receive some that I haven't made. They are so soft and beautifully knitted.

P&P
Polly is trying on the pale blue and white striped jumper. This is like the navy & white one (pattern by Dollswest). I really like this pattern and want to do more.

Phoebe is wearing the Scotty Maloney green cardigan. The sleeves are a little short for her but I think she looks cute in it.

Hot chocolate.
and a favorite sweater on a cold Winter's day. This beautiful jumper was hand-knitted by Kumi, and I've had it for quite a few years now.

And here it is on Alyss in Feb/March 2005.

Retro
Polly wears her black cable knit jumper with a black & white pleated houndstooth skirt and black bomber jacket.

Momoko wearing a black sweater with pleated Burberry tweed skirt. I just love a sweater and pleated skirt combination. I used to wear plaid skirts in the 70s.

I also like cable knits with short sleeves.
Green, black and orange cable knits from "Saucy Boutique" (2003.

Sydney in the winter white cable-knit from Winter Boutique (2004).

Tyler in the pink cable-knit from "Suitable Spring" (2003).

ByGill knitwear
My friend Gill makes exquisite fine knitwear for dolls. Tiny stitches on tiny needles.
A lovely turquoise crop top - made for 16" fashion dolls but fits Opal (Sharmin) well.

My photos are not doing the knitwear justice! This is a body suit, very fine, worn back to front by Polly.

Pictures from the archives:-

A white ballet wrap on Milly (Mei Li).

Pink ballet wrap on Clea Bella.

A white t-shirt on Milly (Mei Li).

The tie-belt cardigan
In 1981 Ralph Lauren launched his Santa Fe collection and I absolutely loved the Navajo inspired designs and these tie-belt cardigans with shawl collars. Worn with denim shirts and big skirts over frothy petticoats and turquoise & silver jewellery.

This is Tonner's version of the tie-belt cardigan, worn by Polly.

And by Alex.
