Stripes and cables

Jemini and Trance

These two jumpers are my most favourite doll jumpers that I've ever knitted. (DWD pattern). I was inspired by a Patricia Roberts sweater that combined stripes and cables and so adapted the pattern.

Nearly finished!

Nearly finished!, originally uploaded by pacific_rin.

Just the sewing up to do. Huh, just!!

This jumper has taken me 4 months to knit. Size 00000 needles and very thin elastic yarn. I had to look at every stitch. There is a skirt in this kit using 4/0 but I don't know if I will do it - the yarn is black!

I just hope this will fit one of my dolls now.

P&P

Polly is trying on the pale blue and white striped jumper. This is like the navy & white one (pattern by Dollswest). I really like this pattern and want to do more.

Phoebe is wearing the Scotty Maloney green cardigan. The sleeves are a little short for her but I think she looks cute in it.

Instant stripes

I started this jumper on the 20th August. Based slightly on the red & white striped boat neck top that is taking forever to knit.
I'm using a mercerised 4-ply cotton that I've had for ages. Originally I was going to do the whole sweater in red and white stripes, then I thought it would be more fun if the body was a different colour. Shades of those Artwork sweaters in the 80's.

Brown cardigan:-

This is a fast knit! I've completed the body and really like how the Shetland is knitting up.

Red & White stripes:-

Completed the 2nd sleeve. Now just the back piece to do.

Red&white stripes: finished the front

I am knitting the pattern exactly. It does look an odd shape, long from the shoulders to the waist!

WIP: red and white stripes

Came across this saved photo the other day.

I have this Scotty Maloney kit, bought in October 2002!! So why not start it now!!

WIP: red and white stripes, originally uploaded by pacific_rin.

Needle size US00000, think that's 1 mm and it's very fine yarn, almost cotton like.
It took me 3 goes to cast on and do the rib but now I'm on the st st it's okay - just takes ages to do one row.
