Teenie Gem dresses - finished - nearly!

In the end, I managed to make 9 little dresses from one ball of Noro Sekku, shade #8. Okay, the ninth one is a half dress!

Now to make them all up!

Wild Rice Hoody

Here is a favourite piece of Tonner clothing - the Wild Rice Hoody from the 2004 Winter White Boutique collection.

It fits my Sharmin doll very well.

I've always liked this picture of her.

Must. Knit. These.

More Scotty Maloney kits, bought years ago for 18" Kitty Collier doll. It would be good to finally make them. Maybe I can adapt them.

Cream cable sweater

I used to have this Tonner Aran sweater and wish I still did (but I could knit one!) So I am posting these pictures to remind me. I like this picture of a Narae wearing it plus here are some older pictures of mine - the jumper looks good on both Kitty Collier and Tyler.

White and fluffy!

No, not a kitten!

I've just finished knitting the ribbed cardigan with long sleeves in Kid Silk Haze, #603 Pearl. It looks so different in this soft and fluffy yarn. Very feminine. Worth the stuggle, because I do find knitting with this yarn a struggle. I don't know why, I just don't get on with it very well.

Pattern is an adapted Dollswest one - see here and here

Snowflake

I was making a pink version of this - nearly finished it as well and then I left it. I'd like to try and finish some of these Scotty M kits this year. Much more fun if they were being worn!

Noro Sekku again, again!

Opal and Trance wearing my cropped Noro Sekku cardigans.
I used the same pattern for both but added a hood to one of them. I really like this style, it's so versatile.
But I think I would make the sleeves narrower, not so narrow as not to be able to fit over a t.shirt, but not so flared at the bottom.

Nostalgia

This cardigan was one of the first pieces of doll knitting I'd completed for fashion dolls. I bought 3 Scotty Maloney kits, back in 2002 and made a hooded sweatshirt, a Nordic snowflake cardigan and this fair isle yoke cardi.
The sleeves are a tad short for a BJD size doll. Maybe it's time to try this again?

On Brenda Starr in 2002.

Rib knit

Polly is wearing a lovely rib knit pullover made by Gill. This was originally for a Tyler doll but the stretchy rib fits well over a Narae's hands. I think Polly looks fab in it.

I do have the pattern somewhere, I think it uses 4/0 needles and very fine yarn but it would be so worth doing, such a classic design.

These lovely socks were a present from my friend Jane and they were knitted by her Mum. Though I do knit socks it's a real treat to receive some that I haven't made. They are so soft and beautifully knitted.

Moody in black

Grae in a favourite black jumper by Ajumpapama.

Who else has worn it over the years?

Flynn in 2005.

Brin in 2007

Hook in 2008

and Jones wore a mini version.

Cool and moody guys!

Bunch of knits

A very pleasing group, colour wise!

And a close up of the Reveal sweater I made a couple of years ago.

A lot of my dolls are now kitted out with woolly stuff. It's been a good year knitting for the dolls, designing and working on patterns, sourcing new fine yarns. I think this year I would like to do more and hopefully sell, maybe open an Etsy shop.

Interesting sleeves

I think this kind of jumper would suit Lorelei very well. I do like those sleeves and think I could do them on a top down.

Oh and Happy New Year!!
