Ribbed cardigans

Two cardigans - both from the same pattern by Dollswest but I adapted one and made longer sleeves.



This one was made with Wendy Happy Bamboo sock yarn.






I used Jamieson & Smith Lace Weight Shetland wool for this smaller one.

Instant stripes

I started this jumper on the 20th August. Based slightly on the red & white striped boat neck top that is taking forever to knit.
I'm using a mercerised 4-ply cotton that I've had for ages. Originally I was going to do the whole sweater in red and white stripes, then I thought it would be more fun if the body was a different colour. Shades of those Artwork sweaters in the 80's.

This is a fast knit! I've completed the body and really like how the Shetland is knitting up.

Completed the 2nd sleeve. Now just the back piece to do.

I completed the cardigan today, bands, collar, belt loops, sewing up and buttons.

And it fits Polly perfectly!

Another cardigan started!

I'm in the mood for knitting......

I've started another cardigan from this pattern found a year ago. And now that I love doing top down raglans it will be perfect.

WIP: doll socks & sweaters

Pink cardigan from a Dollswest pattern (see yesterday), pale blue and white striped sweater adapted from a Dollswest pattern, socks from my pattern and the red & white striped sweater from the Scotty Maloney kit.

After the knit-a-long socks, I'm making SD sized ones. Added stitches and gone down a couple of needle sizes and using lace-weight 2-ply yarn. Changed the heel turn to one I usually do for human socks.

New pattern.

I've started this! It's a pattern from Dollswest (picture from Dollswest too).



I'm using Rowanspun 4-ply in colour Sugar. So far I've completed the rib on one sleeve.

I've also cast on for another striped and cable sweater like the one I made Polly - this time in pale blue and white.

And I'm still working on the red & white striped sweater. Halfway up the second sleeve.

Cosy toofles

Socks! I like making socks because they look so good on the dolls!

Over the Rainbow

I came across these pictures from a couple of years ago - I think I could knit this dress for Smilla. Perhaps top down.



And as Smilla has a bright blue wig, I could make a bright blue dress too!

Another unfinished project from long ago. I knitted all of these pieces in 2003, picked up the stitches for one band and then abandoned it!
I think this will fit my Narae - Polly.

I have quite a few unfinished kits and am determined to finish as many as I can this year.

More socks!

I finished these yesterday. Used scraps of Regia Kaffe Fasset Designer Range - colour "Fog" !
