I've made a cardigan for Fleur - based on a Dollswest pattern which was based on a Stephanie Japel pattern from "Fitted Knits".

The hem is supposed to be turned up on the inside to form a picot edging but I like it rolled.





I really like it!

Experimenting

Making a dress from fine cotton chenille and making the pattern up as I go along.
I searched a lot of old doll patterns but didn't find anything suitable, most dresses were either lacey knits for baby dolls or double knits. I wanted a "home made" looking type of frock.



I've forgotten how difficult it is to keep chenille looking even, the stitches are very messy. Oh well, all adds to the home-made look that I want.

Dimity: cardigan finished

It was a lovely pattern to do, very easy and quick and I followed it exactly for number of stitches and rows. I used a button from an old cardigan of mine.

White

Dimity: cardigan wip

I am making Dimity a little crop cardigan from a Dollswest pattern. Using Rowanspun 4-ply in colour Midnight.

Doll knitting

I've just received a bunch of PDFs for Dollswest patterns and am going to start with this one. I'm going to follow the pattern exactly with number of stitches and rows and see how it comes out.

This is the pattern used to make Anouk's skirt. I might knit the other pieces too, I love these sets.

Musedoll sweater

It's mine! Jane was selling one on DR so I snapped it up!





Lucille got to try it on first but I still want to put it on a Zero (Lorelei).

I've made Anouk a skirt based on an old pattern from the sixties. I wanted it to look oversized for her. She finds and steals her clothes (I don't ask) and she found this was made for a girl a bit bigger than her but she wanted it anyway.

I wanted it to look "vintage" so I wasn't bothered about scale or thickness of yarn. Just used 4-ply on size 10 needles for quickness. I added the braces.

Purchases

Jane put these two up for sale on DR today and I snapped them up. I've wanted the Musedoll sweater for ages and I love the look of the cable jacket.

A cream hoody again.

Brr, brrr - it has been snowing all day long.



Seina still likes her cream hoody.
I would really like to try and hand-knit this style. Could have a lot of fun with it - plain, ribbed, patterned, cables......

and a favorite sweater on a cold Winter's day. This beautiful jumper was hand-knitted by Kumi, and I've had it for quite a few years now.

Snow fairy

I don't know who made this coat but I absolutely love it. It looks to have been knitted in Shetland wool. I have a fondness for knitted coats - I'm still a 70's girl at heart.

Sweater dress

They remind me of these ones made by Nideru back in 2002. I used to have 4 of these, wish I had kept them.

Pinafore

Inspired by this picture to make a knitted version with braces for Anouk. Need to look through my old doll patterns.

A beret.

Karrosel wears a beret from an Ann Estelle doll. It's over sized but she does look cute in it.




I should count the stitches and knit my own. But I have tried before, a couple of years ago and failed!

A sprinkling of snow in the night. Lorelei wraps up warm in her hand-knitted hat and scarf. These two were made by Mio and were a free gift when I bought some clothes from her.



Lorelei is also wearing the cream sweater with rose embroidery.
