Details!

I like the trim on this Mio sweater. She's added beads etc to the trim, I think.

Ta-dah!

I'm going to a doll meet at the NEC tomorrow and so finished Robynn's sweater - Groovy Boogie from knitty.com . I used Rowanspun 4 ply in Lunar.

It was fab to do and I'm really pleased that it fits!

Robynn is pretty pleased too!

The beginning!

I have always loved knitting clothes for dolls and teddy bears. I saved a lot of patterns from women's magazines like Woman's Weekly and Woman's Own. My mum loved toy patterns. I have a small collection of the original Sindy knitting patterns from the sixties.

About 5 years ago I started collecting dolls again when I discovered fashion dolls like Gene and Tyler Wentworth. I thought they were huge at 16" tall!! After all the only dolls I had handled were 12". They were a great size to knit for too!

Later I became interested in ball jointed dolls from Japan and Korea and I want to knit a lot for them. But I have got to learn to use smaller needles again and thinner wool.

This is the beginning........of a jumper for Blythe and of my knitting blog for dolls.
