Happy Hallowe'en!

This is Nigella and her pumpkin bear.

The sleeves are half sleeves - cut from a machine knit jumper as the the coat sleeves were too narrow to pull over the whole sweater. So I made long armwarmers to push under the coat.

The coat and matching hat are beautiful. They are a very soft velvet and were made by Magalie Dawson. The colour is gorgeous too.

Girl in Da Hood!

Here is Serendipity Alice - renamed Alyss - wearing a hoody that I made years ago for the Tonner girls. It was from a kit by Scotty Maloney.

To make it again for this size doll, I would need to make it a bit bigger, especially the hood as it's making the shoulders pull up at the moment.

Here it is on Trance in 2004.

And here it is on Milly in 2002.

Ballet-wrap.

A friend made me this beautiful pink ballet wrap for my Clea Bella dancing doll a couple of years ago. I no longer have this doll.

Recently I tried the wrap on Opal (Serendipity Sharmin) and was so pleased that it fits her. Though the sleeves are a little short, the body part is perfect. She looks so pretty in it.

Rowanspun knits.

Marina posted some gorgeous photos of her Custom House girls in lovely knitted cardigans. The pattern is the free one on DoA and the wool is Rowanspun 4-ply. I love these colous, very inspiring.

Beautiful girls.

Petite dress

kiyacat on LJ has posted a free pattern for a Petite knitted dress. The button detail is sweet too.

Perfection!

This Mio outfit ticks all my boxes - argyle, white jumper, long socks, duffle coat and modelled by Unoa!

Knitted dresses

I have always been fond of knitted dresses, hand-knit or manufactured from stretchy knitted fabric. One of my favourite Sindy outfits was Coffee Party - "When Sindy meets friends for coffee and a gossip she wears this mocha-coloured knitted wool sweater dress that's smartly styled with polo-neck, dropped waist and matching belt. Also available in blue."

The dress below from R&D dolls for their Susie range reminds me of the Sindy dress. I love the brown stripes and the brown scarf is fab too. It fits Momoko well.

Orange and black - a fabulous combination. (picture from the 2003 archives).

Military Romantic

I love this look - the black sweater teamed with mustard pants or a paisley print skirt and a fab military style coat over the top. Great button detailing on the jumper too.

Yoke sweater

This looks such an interesting design and I would love to try it for a doll. I like how the sleeves and collar are separate from the body.
